About

Originally from the UK, Helen Massey first came to national attention as BBC Radio 2 Choirgirl of the Year, an early recognition that led to performances on television, radio, and in concert halls across the world. She went on to study at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she was awarded the EMI Scholarship and won both the Peter Pears Duo Prize and the English Song Prize. Further study at the Welsh International Academy of Voice under Dennis O’Neill added to her artistic development.

"The evening belonged to Helen Massey, the audience loved her as did I."
